Winter in West Virginia

Time for a family ski trip!
Our last family ski trip was Breckenridge in 2019... a few things have changed since then - and Luke has never been skiing.

We landed in Winterplace Ski Resort in West Virginia.

Besides discovering the sketchiness that is the state of West Virginia 😳 Winterplace was lovely and gave us just what we needed for a long weekend ski trip.

We sent Luke off to ski school, while us big kids got in a few runs.

Richie and I discovered quickly that we are officially old... while our teenagers made their way to all the cool kid slopes.

We would cross paths every now and again.

Luke came out of ski school in need of a little more coaching, so he and I went off on our own to make magic happen.

By the end of the day, he looked like a pro skiing down the Green and Blue trails.

(Also, it wasn't until I got called out by a friend on Instagram that I learned it's apparently a thing now for everyone wear a helmet when skiing... oopsy!  Next Time!!)

It was a really gorgeous day! Probably a bit too warm for skiing, but made this cold natured woman exceptionally happy.

We went back to enjoy Day 2 at a Snow Tubing Park...  it was pretty darn fun racing each other down the hill.. and a whole lot less work for us old people.

Another Hatcher Family Adventure in the books!
