Sweethearts on the Hill

  Amidst the craziness of 2020, we decided to sneak in a quick canoe trip / treehouse get away.  It's something we did 5 or 6 years ago, and it has continued to stand out as one of our most favorite family trips. Luke was too young to go with us last time, so this was the first time experiencing the adventure with our whole family. And it just so happened to be Father's Day. So we got to bundle celebrating our favorite dad into the trip as well. Our adventure began with a drive over to South Carolina and then an early morning canoe launch to begin our 13 mile ride to our treehouse - our humble abode for the night. In typical kid fashion, there were multiple combinations of parents, canoes, and kids throughout the day.  The boys enjoy getting out and swimming along side the canoes... and since the canoe is always greener on the other side, it makes sense to climb aboard the other ride every few minutes...  Of course, I can't help but drive them a bit crazy with the constant
