The Ring Bearers

So, I'll apologize in advance for the obnoxious number of pictures here. But my handsome little men were recently in a wedding, dressed about as adorable as can be! And I have no doubt it will be a long time (or more likely, never) that I have the three of them all together looking this stinkin' cute. So allow me to gush in photographs for a moment ~ Katelyn and Landon Wright got married... it was breathtaking. Their wedding was at the home of Julie and Louis Schaad and everything about it was absolutely perfect.    Knowing that their photographer would be capturing gorgeous pictures of everyone and everything, I pretty much just focused on my people... cuz, as I said before, I thought they looked really handsome :)   There are few things I love more than seeing boys just be boys, not minding a bit that they are dressed all proper-like in their fancy shirts, suspenders, and bowties

The Mountains are Calling My Name

Once in a great while, you make a game time decision that turns out to be so spectacular that it changes the course of all things to come. And other times you make a game time decision that lands you in the Smoky Mountains on a 70 degree day in January surprised by the 5-mile long snow covered trail. This will go down in history as one of my best game time decisions. What. A. Spectacular. Day.  The night before, I half jokingly texted my neighbor, Marie, to see if she would like to go hike Mt. LeConte tomorrow. She said she would love to!  Two moms of lots of little ones don't really get to make plans like this at the last minute. But luck was on our side and off we went. Back down in Knoxville, kids were in shorts. It was one of those warm January days that we in the south are blessed with about once a winter.  So, we really had no idea we would be hiking in a couple feet of snow.  Thought we might see it at the top... but not at the trailhead!

School Portrait Time!

Of course, always a little behind here - but still wanted to get these out.  Where Luke goes to preschool, St. Mark's United Methodist, instead of having a generic studio photographer come in and do school pictures, they award us the pleasure of having AK Vogel come in. So I try to make the most of it by snagging Sam and Charlie out of class for a short while to get some sibling photos too. While I love her photography, I have to say it was a bit of shit show this time around for the Hatcher kids.  Luke was clearly not feeling it...  hence, the Luke of fear on his face. It was raining outside and the pictures were taken under a large canvas. While she was setting up, Charlie decided to go running around amongst the raindrops... so he has wet head. Sam was perceptive, as always, and could tell things were going awry... that's the look I see on his face "I'm trying mom, but I don't think this is what we were going for..." Regardless, h
