Right on Time

My gosh... it's been a long long time, my friend 💜
As soon as Brandi announced her post-pandemic, live, in person, feel-the-echo of her voice shows, I had to find a way...

Evaluated the options... and landed on Forest Hills... and knew that my girl, Kerry, needed to be there with me to soak it all in.
It was every bit of what I needed.
Music. Brandi. New York City. Girl Time. Kerry. Wine. Central Park.
It's far more therapy than a person should be allowed to fit into a single weekend.

And then this!!!
Anyone who has been fortunate enough to go to a Brandi show knows that she throws out a green guitar pick after (nearly) every song...  my Charlie caught one way back when we saw her at Merlefest... and I somehow lost the damn thing@!
I came to this show with a mission and full confidence that I was going to get another pick!
Several were thrown around us... but the one... I knew it when I saw it come out of her hand... it was coming right toward us.. In fact, it hit Kerry in the chest... and it fell to the ground.  The people next to us were searching on the ground as frantically as we were...   But then I felt it beneath my hand. YESSSS!!!!
It was a magical night... and so so good to see her live again...

Kerry and I stayed in Queens the first night to make travel back and forth to Forest Hills easier...  but headed over to Manhattan for night 2.
The entirety of our trip consisted of Central Park, Upper West Side, Food, Drinks, and Conversation.
That was it.

NYC was the perfect backdrop for the most perfect weekend!
