Cape San Blas

We had big plans - or big ideas - to go to Europe this summer...  but the world had a different plan.  Given all the craziness of this year, we weren't able to fit in any beach trips during spring or summer break...  so luckily, we made it happen during fall break.   After searching many different beaches, we landed a great, 4-story house on the beach in Cape San Blas.

We've never been to Cape San Blas, but were drawn to the calm and quiet that was advertised...  no condos, no commercialization, very few restaurants, and almost no people. It's a really great place to go when coronavirus germs are running rampant.

The sun was setting as we were making our way to the cape after our long drive down...

When we first arrived, I ran out to the beach to capture a quick shot of the sunset (below) before nighttime covered the sky.
Richie, Sara, and I went on an early morning walk...  with the moon hanging over us.
I love seeing the sun rise ~
This was the first of many beach days...

We took a badminton set, which turned out to be a great time.

We rented a skim board, which Sam happened to master pretty quickly.

Charlie wasn't quite as patient with it...

My gosh, I love these boys 💙💙💙💙

I'll forever treasure these beach trips with them
My gosh, I love this boy too 💗💗💗💗

Me in all my glory taking pictures with my big girl camera as the sun casts an incredible canvas across the sky

Sam in all his glory standing by the water with a fishing pole in his hand

There were some spectacular sunsets while we were there... and luckily this is only night #2
There was a tropical storm lurking in the distance... not in reach of us, but I have to believe it was the cause of the intense mixture of clouds and colors painted across the sky.

And still five more days ahead of us...
