Hangin with the Browns

It's always a good day when you get a chance to reconnect with old friends and your kids happen to hit it off like they've been buddies for life.
That's how things played out when our boys met Kim and Jeff's littles, Elsa and George.  Luke was especially smitten.
I gave Jeff and Kim fair warning not to trust Luke around Elsa... he has become quite the little ladies man.. and a bit of a player!
Can't. be. trusted!
We spent our last night at Terranea having dinner with the Brown family at Nelson's, which has this cozy, casual, crazy fun, sandy, outdoor seating area overlooking the ocean ~ with a gorgeous view of the sunset.
And even more importantly, they have s'mores...
Moments like this are created from above... simply perfect.

 Lots of happy faces
George and Elsa kept trying to sneak into our family photos...
So we said "bring it!" Always happy to bring in a few extra happy smiles.
And this was quite possibly my favorite part of this whole trip... the kids decided to play freeze tag on this grassy area...(I know, right... I haven't thought about freeze tag since I was a kid... it's one of the best games ever invented, I swear!)  We were surrounded by hopping bunnies, good music, crashing waves, and the laughter of these 5 kids... but the best part was how ridiculously fast Elsa can run.  She is barefoot in her pretty white dress, putting every one of those boys to shame as she jukes them and flies by.  It. was. perfection.

The video isn't great at capturing the event... but it's enough to keep it familiar in my mind.
Another spectacular trip in the books... my oh my, our kids have had a good summer!
