Donald Rae Leggett April 23, 1923 - April 24, 2012 My Grandpa Don passed away this week after a very long year of managing his declining health. He had just turned 89 years old the day prior, and had a healthy, happy birthday from what I've been told. He shared many smiles with his kids that day, and was very conversational and alert. That makes me smile. The day following his 89th birthday, he was saluted, celebrated, and blessed by 23 family members as he took his final breath and entered the kingdom of heaven… actually, as he walked into the kingdom of heaven… walked for the first time in 22 years. That is certainly something to celebrate. It has been an emotional week ~ and a rather special week. I have a very large family, the majority of whom live right here in Knoxville. In That Space

Wow! It's been a while.  Coming to this seat to reflect and write is always in the back of my mind, but sometimes it's just more complicated than others to actually get here. I have several significant events to share with you. I have pictures!! You must see! We've celebrated Charlie turning 5 (Oh my Lord! His world has changed!) We had our family Christmas time. We've had SNOW! We went skiing. Life keeps happening. I photograph it when I can. And I come here when it's time. It occurred to me today why I haven't been posting much.  This blog is primarily a place where I capture memories, store my photos, share a few laughs, and watch my kids grow. I tend to organize it around the photos I take. While I have a few pictures that I want to (and will!) share with you, for some reason my thoughts haven't been very focused on those photos or those events. The Minister's Treehouse

Once upon a time, there was a man who lived in Crossville, Tennessee. This man was praying one day, and he heard God speak these words to him, "If you build me a treehouse, I will see to it that you never run out of material."  So he did it. And he hasn't.  Once upon another time, there was a girl who met up with her friend Sarah at a splash park in Knoxville, Tennessee. Sarah told this girl about this unbelievable, behemoth of a treehouse in Crossville, Tennessee.   The girl was intrigued. The girl was me (surprise!) And there you have the primary events that led to our adventure to the Minister's Treehouse in Crossville, Tennessee. The treehouse's primary foundation is an 80-foot tall oak tree, which has a diameter of 12 feet. There are 6 additional trees that help support the structure.
