I can't get over the cuteness of these boots! And, the cuteness of these sweet precious souls. So glad that we are blessed with boys to share in the adventure of life :) Still looking forward to the day you find rocks in your washing machine!
Thanks Ladies! Penny ~ our current obsession is with leaves - so it is truly lovely finding shredded leaves come out of my dryer with our clean clothes :) Sarah ~ pictures were taken at my aunt and uncles AmAzInG home… it's my favorite place to take pictures!
Donald Rae Leggett April 23, 1923 - April 24, 2012 My Grandpa Don passed away this week after a very long year of managing his declining health. He had just turned 89 years old the day prior, and had a healthy, happy birthday from what I've been told. He shared many smiles with his kids that day, and was very conversational and alert. That makes me smile. The day following his 89th birthday, he was saluted, celebrated, and blessed by 23 family members as he took his final breath and entered the kingdom of heaven… actually, as he walked into the kingdom of heaven… walked for the first time in 22 years. That is certainly something to celebrate. It has been an emotional week ~ and a rather special week. I have a very large family, the majority of whom live right here in Knoxville. There have been hundreds of tears, embraces, stories, and sorrows shared as we have all reflected on my grandfather's life. A World War II Veteran who fought at Normandy and the Battle of th...
This past Saturday, we had an impromptu football game going in on our front yard! Team 1 (comprised primarily of the boys in orange) was Richie, Sam, our new neighbor - Mark, and Charlie… (well, sometimes Charlie) And over on Team 2 we had Mark and Christy (Little Mark's parents - our new neighbors) and Charlie (he was a bit of a transient player…) A little strategizing going on... Charlie Hatcher, starting out on Team 2 with the kick off! We've got the center, Daddy Hatcher - and ready for the snap is quarterback, Saaaaaaaam Hatcher! "Set Hut Hut!" He's got it! And he's going for it! Nobody can catch up with this kid! Time for a kick off Check out that form! Mark's got the ball… but there's no way he's making it through this defense! They're tearin' him up! They're bringing in the big guns for this play… Luke Owen, age 3 (he's the other transient player… something about tho...
The Hatcher Family rose at the crack of dawn today to partake in the annual fishing tournament at the Alcoa Duck Pond. You can imagine the chaos that unfolds on when you combine dirt, worms, hooks, fishing line, poles, water, rocks, and a 3 and 4 year old. But just to make sure we kept it all interesting, we invited Sam and Charlie's great friends Eric (4) and Rachel (3) to join us. We had a little time before the tournament started to get the kiddos settled. The Dads baited the hooks… And I mostly just took pictures. As soon as the horns blew to announce the start of the tournament, the insanity began. The four fishing lines got crossed, caught on rocks, caught on weeds… One kid wanted a juice box. Another was begging for fruit snacks. Dads were stepping over poles trying to keep things together. Fish were biting, stealing worms, and taking off! Mr. Hatcher was rather annoyed at me for being so clueless and helpless (even though I made it abundantl...
