New York City Preview

We're back! We got home last night around 11 pm. 
I've got hundreds of pictures to go through from our New York trip, but can't do it now because we have to exit our lovely abode while we activate a flea bomb to take care of the starving parasites that have invaded it… oy vey

So these pictures are all from my cell phone. It's a not-so-quick preview of the adventures of our past week.

Here is what the Agrestic Family does in New York City...
We marvel at the sites we can see from high up in an airplane...
 We watch the clouds in awe...
We visit the city's amazing parks… this happens to be the Highline
We drink Gatorade, and it colors our tongues...
We wait for the subway train to pick us up...
We sleep on the subway train after it picks us up...
We go to Yankees games…
We find super cool awesome new hats...
We hang out with Superman and Oscar the Grouch on the subway…
We look for reflections in the rain...
We sleep anywhere we can...
We visit Little Italy...
And we go on ferry rides to see the Statue of Liberty…

I can't wait to go through my other pictures and share some stories with you… but for now, I have to put on my mask and gloves and go to war!

Wow! It's been a while.  Coming to this seat to reflect and write is always in the back of my mind, but sometimes it's just more complicated than others to actually get here. I have several significant events to share with you. I have pictures!! You must see! We've celebrated Charlie turning 5 (Oh my Lord! His world has changed!) We had our family Christmas time. We've had SNOW! We went skiing. Life keeps happening. Peak 8 and Carter Park

We geared up the next morning to enjoy a few more of the fun adventures Breckenridge has to offer.   We started with a gondola ride up to Peak 8 This gave us an opportunity to check out the ski slopes and helped convince me to take Sam and Charlie skiing...  Yikes!! (more to come on that)   Our kids are going to jump in a snow pile anywhere they can and start playing...   You know it's a good day when you're sitting beneath some blue skies 8,000 feet above sea level, having a drink and some lunch outside near a small fire, and watching people enjoy the gorgeous slopes of Colorado. Robbie's Tavern at Peak 8 ~ highly recommend! Onward to Carter Park to indulge in some sledding!   Can you even stand this smile? Charlie learns to swim!!!

It seems that there is a magical moment in every child's life where the concept of swimming just clicks. I remember Sam had his moment in the Renaissance Hotel overlooking Manhattan just before his 4th birthday. We had been driving for 11 hours straight, and he was so excited to get some energy out - he just started swimming all over the salt water pool.  Well, Charlie had his moment this past week in Orlando. While he was first a little angry that his mommy and daddy forgot his swim vest, he later become the happiest little boy in Florida!   Racing his big brother Great Job Charlie Hatcher!! So proud of my newest little fishy! Here are a few others of our day at the pool. I think I accidentally incriminated myself here … with a shot of Sam sipping on my chai :/   Is it just me, or does Sam look exactly Lloyd Christmas from Dumb and Dumber in this picture below??   Love.
