Happy 14th Sam
How blessed are we to have great friends who will travel a few hours and set aside a whole weekend to celebrate your kid's 14th journey around the sun. The boys all looked forward to Sam's birthday weekend for weeks. It falls on Labor Day, which gave us all an extra day to spend some time with friends. They went to an escape room, played video games, went down to the creek, ate s'mores, and just hung out eating and stinking up the house for a couple days. Exactly what teenage boys should be doing! This is my crazy, handsome fourteen year old... hard to believe. Heather and Abhi joined us for the weekend. We enjoyed an afternoon of live music, wine, and cheese at Arrington Vineyards - the beautiful winery just up the road from our house. Thank God for really great friends 💛
